Rachel. Rachel. Rachel no. No don't do this Rachel. Rachel you are being like 80 different brands of dumb right now. Damn it all Rachel. Why you do dis?
With that out of the way, let me get on to what I really wanted to say.
I hate Puck/Kurt. Like, I cannot even begin to describe to you how much I loathe them as a pairing. Friends? Totally cool. I think they'd be awesome friends. Romance? God no, get it away from me. I don't support any pairing in which one side of the relationship has deliberately abused the other side in the past, regardless of how bad they feel about it later. I don't read Puck/Kurt, ever. And you aren't changing my mind. At all. But I'm... intrigued? I guess? And that's something. I don't want them to end up together at all, but I DO want to know where they're going and what's going to happen to them. They've got a sort of tentative friendship now, but holding on to that could be iffy in light of their past relationship, and trying to rekindle what they used to had would be seriously awkward in light of their more recent history.
I'm a Klaine and Pizes shipper but that's not really the issue because I'm kind of expecting Blaine to eat it (unless you pull the rug out from under us and Kurt's the one who gets killed which I'm also treating as a distinct possibility) and Lauren to find out about the Kurt thing and get irate (she'd think it was hot, but she's not a girl who's willing to play second fiddle to anybody). I know YOU don't like Klaine so I'm fully prepared for them to not end up together and I'm not a hardcore enough shipper to be upset about that, especially since the main point of this story isn't really the romance.
Unrelatedly, Sam and Mercedes are adorable together, and are those hints of Quinn/Artie I spy? I'm glad somebody picked up on the fact that their season 1 relationships were clearly engineered and I'm wondering if they'll pick up on how much of the other shit might have been engineered too. Did Finn bully Kurt because he was mentally 'programmed' into doing it, or did they just get separated and placed in different social circles, and the bullying was something he did because of his own occasionally douchey nature? Were Kurt and Rachel programmed into disliking each other or was it just that their history was erased and SHIELD let their abrasive personalities work against each other? And if those two were programmed into disliking each other... were Kurt and Mercedes programmed into being friends? Given that they don't actually have much in common and their friendship has canonically been dying a brutal death, maybe they were never that close to begin with...
