Looks like it's Finn torture this chapter. And I'm grinning like a loon because I'm slightly sadistic like that :)

Poor guy. Not only does he have to deal with his mind getting flooded by angsty thoughts of his team mates (courtesy of Santana), he also has to deal with inappropriate incestual emotions (courtesy of Puck) and wet dreams (courtesy of Kurt). It's unfortunate that due to his unique abilities, he's being put in a position where he got to make some morally questionable choices. The road to hell is paved with good intentions and I can see a spectacular blow-up-in-everyone's-faces situation happening in the near future due to his attempt at preserving Kurt's relationship with Blaine.

Can't wait to see that.

Writing for such a huge ensemble is challenging, and it's all the more obvious in this chapter. This chapter is more than 10000 words long and yet not much actually happened. However, even though the scenes we get to see of everyone are short, they are still effective, emotional and really well done (My favourite characters got extra screen time, for which I am very grateful). Yup, pacing is important, which you alluded to more than once. I guess I'm just impatient, but don't mind me. This story needs to unfold in its own time.

Lastly, the cringe-worthy moment in this chapter goes to Rachel. You'd think that discovering her dads weren't really her true dads would distract her from her dreams of fame. You'd think. Anyway, I imagine that the situation is going to get ugly from now on. Maybe the mysterious villains would start making their move and we'd see more action with our superpowered Glee club.

Whatever the case may be, I look forward to the next chapter.
